Dedicated to honoring Mobile's many sports heroes, the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame also seeks to preserve the area's unique sports heritage by offering future generations the forum in which to learn about and take pride in Mobile's rich sports history.
Mobile boasts a sports legacy simply unmatched by other communities of its size - with five National Baseball Hall of Fame inductees, key members of NFL Super Bowl and NCAA championship teams, All-Americans, Olympians, record-setters and legendary coaches - all among its membership.
Formed in 1988, the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame has honored 90 sports greats with enshrinement.
The Mobile Sports Hall of Fame is also a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, with a dedicated mission to recognize and pay tribute to Mobile area men and women who have made significant contributions to the world of sports.
Inductee Nominations & Selection: The Mobile Sports Hall of Fame has a "Master List" of candidates that have been nominated for induction. Each year the Master List is reviewed by the Hall of Fame's Selection Committee. From that list, the selection committee conducts its annual vote to choose the induction class each year. Should you wish to nominate an individual to be considered for induction into the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame, please email info@mobilesportshalloffame.com.
